Drastic drop in resting heart rate (is it accurate)?

I guess my question is, how accurate is the resting heart rate?

I only really look at it first thing in the morning, but I got a notification the other day about all the exercise I’ve been doing causing it to drop by 2.

When I looked though, in about 8 to 10 days it’s gradually gone from 79 to 69. I’ve been EXTREMELY active compared to normal this week (staying with parents, doing a lot of farm work plus swimming in the evenings) but a drop of 10 seems extreme.

I googled and the suggestion is that a reduction of “up to 1 beat per minute per week of training could be expected” so what I’m experiencing here doesn’t seem possible?
