Resting heart rate and the ladies cycle!

Do any of the other ladies notice a trend between resting heart rate and the monthly cycle?? This is my 3 month track of heart rate and shows massive changes depending on where I am in the month! Is this

It's still a real trend, just the female version. You can probably consider the low rhr of each cycle as the ones to gauge your fitness.

I bet you can just focus on the lowest ones of each cycle. Mine improved the more fit I got.

I’ve been noticing a 10bpm difference in mine.    It’s like a huge roller coaster every month on my graph!

I have endo and mine does a 10bpm jump before my period too. I have an IuD and still have the same hr cycles. Who need a a diary with a heart rate tracker?!

I’m curious what your walking around all day heart rate is.  I’m a teacher of 4-5 year olds.  My day is very busy.  I’m not sure what is a normal busy day heat rate.  I’ve only had my Fitbit for about a month

Chiming in. Hormonal IUD, and on't get periods, but still have a VERY dependable monthly sinus in resting heart rate, with highest point being 52-53 and lowest point being around 47-48 each month. You would say this is a tiny difference, but it repeats very predictably. I have also noticed strong reactivity to alcohol. Even small amounts (half a pint of lager for example, about 1 unit) will increase resting HR by multiple points for 1 day only. Fitbits are nice toys :).

Yes! Mine is 10-11 bpm variance in the same pattern everyone else has noticed.   I am

mid 40’s - not in shape like in my 20’s but fairly active and healthy if that helps

I’m 100% the same

Resting I’m normally around 62/64 then when on my period it will drop to 50/51 and I feel awful! I’ve had ECGs/bloods and nothing shows up! Bizarre!

I have the same! Sometimes my heart rate varies about 15 bpm if I change altitude.

Same trend here! Not on BC, 31 yo female. Rising towards period and lowering toward ovulation. Regular exerciser. Photo below

Found a way to edit and add a photo woohoo!!

It is lowest about a week before ovulation and highest about a week before period, so it appears that it follows the hormones which control ovulation and menstruation...

I had never paid attention to that before. It's got me curious

My resting high is 72 and feel great! At 69 bpm for a few days monthly I’m fatgued and want to sleep. Cannot shake it off even with exercise. Anyone else experience this?

Of course I’m through menopause, but it’s strange my body still cycles. Any physicians that can respond would be useful!

So glad I found this thread!

I have the same issue. On day 7 or 8 of my period my RHR drops and I just feel awful. I discussed it with my Dr's but they just tell me to take some iron during my period (note I'm a researcher in iron metabolism and homeostasis so I know that doesn't work).

My guess is the sudden surge in estrogen is causing the HR to slow down. I thought I was unique and something 'bad' was going on, but I feel reassured now!

Oh my gosh thank you for posting this. I'm so glad to hear I am not the only one.

Every single month this happens. I been trying so hard to lose 5 lbs and all week my heart keeps going up and up and I usually just use heart rate as indicator. I just keep getting so mad at myself I been trying hard.

My period tracker is all off cuz it doesnt seem to log my periods correctly but a few days ago it told me it was set to start so it must be within this window timeframe here and that is what I'm hoping this is. This happens every month n I get mad at it. Also my chest grows and I'm working out my chest with weights like a crazy woman. I cant stand when it's big. Lol.

That's a huge increase, you poor girl! Lol. Not sure how much mine increases exactly. Could be that much though. One time before my period atleast i remember it going up to the 70s when i was pretty low in the 60s or 59 before that.

I wonder if they count that sara halls they compare everyone to before she gets hers 😄 even when I get my heart rate down to hers fitbit tells me I'll never be as good as her. Lol.
