Resting heart rate and the ladies cycle!

Do any of the other ladies notice a trend between resting heart rate and the monthly cycle?? This is my 3 month track of heart rate and shows massive changes depending on where I am in the month! Is this

Me too, but I thought it dropped because of the painkillers I took.

Yes i agree, ive noticed mine increases the week before im due and gets to its highest point then when i start bleeding it starts dropping to its lowest... ive also noticed it jumps up a few before ovulation and drops slightly again... and i have aligned this info with my other period tracker apps for the ovulation/cycle times and they match up almost spot on everytime.

I'm glad to hear it's not just me. I recently started fertility treatment and my average resting bmp skyrocketed from 60 to 66. I see it when I sit down behind the PC, normally it would go down and now it stays at 70 bpm... I really hope this changes when I finish my dosage, because it's messing with my head! 🙂

Weird isn’t it. A woman’s body is a very complex unit overall isn’t it?

So mine usually does this but for some reasone this month it has held almost consistantly at 70 all month. Im on cycle day 22. Does anyone know why it nevered changed? We are trying for baby #2 and I'm worried i didn't ovulate this month because my heart rate never went up.

Hi Jess,

I was thinking of replying to you but waited for the end of my cycle to check my own results.

I'm not sure if the heart rate builds up before the period or during the ovulation. For me it does after I ovulate but before my period. At the same time, I recently discovered I have PCOS so I probably don't ovulate at all (now undergoing fertility treatment).

I hope you learn soon that you're pregnant! And keep your fingers crossed, because I'm trying for baby no1! 🙂

In 3 month view, HR should spike in luteal phase (before period) and dip in follicular phase (after period) and during ovulation I can sometimes see a tiny spike of 1-2 BPM for 1 day (in 1 week view) during the incline from low to peak . however there are so many factors affecting a woman's body so even though that's fairly regular I screenshot a strange "flat" time for me too. Maybe stress or meds or anything!

I was searching around the internet trying to work out my heart rate pattern and came across this thread. The RHR pattern is very interesting. Mine is below. I am on the pill and regularly run packs together to skip periods. The first dip is a normal period. The middle small dip is when I should have had a period. The final dip that I am still in is my current period.

Either you have it backwards or my body has it backwards because I spoke at ovulation and hit my lowest just before my period starts.

Yes! I’ve googled it and evidently it’s scientific and **ahem**. 😂

Hi,

Are the numbers you quote your resting heart rate?

So 78 resting heart rate at highest and 65 resting heart rate at lowest?

thank you

My RHR is 68 at highest and 63 at the very lowest.

I'm 41, 10stone, reasonably healthy and don’t drink caffeine or smoke but my heart is so erratic! I suffer pretty much constant pain but worse on my period. Currently being investigated for endo.
