3 month old Fitbit One not paired, not syncing, not holding a charge

I’m very unhappy that my NEW Fitbit one has suddenly developed a bunch of problems.  The step tile is gone from my dashboard.  I don’t know how to check the firmware but I have checked the bluetooth, tried resetting the Fitbit and restarting my device, etc.  I’ve used a One for years and prefer older technology where the bugs have been worked out.  So what gives?????

Mine works fine.

Try these steps

Please clean the contacts
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/My-tracker-s-battery-isn-t-charging/?q=not+chargi...

Then Do a Restart

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

Thank you for your response. I've done all these things and it's still not syncing, and my dashboard says there is no paired device. When I try to set up a new device, it just searches, and searches, and searches.... I guess I'll try calling customer support later today. Thanks again.

I also am having issues with my one, to the point thst I want my money back. It has stopped syncing by blue tooth unless i open the app, it skips days when it records steps and there appears no way to add the steps manually.

I called support and what I was doing wrong was holding the button on my Fitbit for 10-12 seconds as instructed -- I did NOT hold it long enough to see the Fitbit logo.  Then I set it up as a new device, and VOILA!  I'm back in business.

The "no charge" is a separate issue that I will have to monitor by fully charging and running it to empty.  But I have a case number and will call back if it's still discharging in hours instead of weeks.
