Accuracy of steps and miles on fitbit one

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Friday I did 13060 steps for 5.04 miles. Saturday 11934 steps = 5.06 miles. Today 11989 steps =5.96 miles.

What's the problem here? I'm doing the same strides and getting different distances for my steps. I doubt the accuracy of my device. 😞

Have you set your exact stride or relying on it to figure it for you?

You will get better accuracy if you set your own stride

Yes I did set my stride

Setting the stride has nothing to do with the fact that a particular number of steps equals different distances on any given day. I would expect the number of steps to equal the same distance every day regardless of stride settings (which did not change from day to day).

Can't anyone help explain this?
