Activity tracking

I've started manually logging a walk/hike as exercise as the One doesn't deem to track active minutes accurately. However it then adds the estimated steps from my walk to my daily total, counting the steps twice. As I live near woods which are quire hilly, I'm doing an active walk (not a stroll!) towards my 5 a week activity goals. I'm having to remove my active walks so it doesn't mess up my step count. The app doesn't let me add an activity without saying what it is. Any advice? Thanks

Have you tried to "TRACK" your walking activity yet? I had the same issue and "Tracking" took care of the issue...

Hi, I have added the activity manually which gives a screen to fill in
duration and type of activity. I've read on the help pages that provided
the added activity data is accurate or synchronises with the tracked data,
it shouldn't count the steps twice. However it did for me as my One only
recognised part of my walk as active minutes, not the whole walk. That may
be because it is steep and rough under foot in places so walking isn't
always fast as on a flat path but still takes effort, like hiking. I will
probably just stop logging my activity walks separately but I enjoy filling
in the exercise logs as it's motivating 🙂

I'm glad that works for you , I stop doing that because it became so time-consuming for me😏
