I recently updated my FitBit app and now my FitBit One battery life is 2 days. Prior to the update, it would last 5-7 days. I had the same issue occur a few years ago, and eventually FitBit made an improvement (by using the Sync All Day feature. This feature appears to be gone in the updated app.) Disappointed that FitBit support offered no solution, other than to post on this Community Page.

Same here. This has happened before with prior updates. Hopefully they will fix.

My FitBit One (which I have been using since spring of 2014) has had a few issues regarding battery life. Yesterday was one of those days. Normally it will stay charged from 5 - 7 days. Normally I only recharge it on Sundays. I'm not sure if I have fixed this issues but here is what I did so far.
1. I did an overnight test with a full charge last night to see how much the battery drained -- and after about 7 hours it was down more than 1/3. I recharged it (to nearly full). As part of this test I logged out of my iPhone 10 FitBit app (just in case it was polling the FitBit One and causing the battery to drain).
2. Then I used it while walking on my treadmill after the above recharge and then checked it again -- the charge is down to just above 1/2 on the meter.
3. I then shut it off, connected it to my computer and did a hard reset of the firmware by holding the ON button down for 10 -12 seconds. I removed it from the USB charge connector and I will report back to see if the charge changed over the course of the next few hours.
I think the problem may be two fold -- my FitBit one is getting old so maybe the batter will not last that much longer or take a full charge (but this is a new thing for the particular FB One and other customers are having a similar issue with FitBits that are only 6 months old so, maybe not) and, secondly, the problem may be the result of my having to restart my router yesterday evening when I lost my internet connection (and therefore my BlueTooth connection). That action may be what was causing the software to continually search for the FB One and therefore wear the battery down. It is possible that a restart of my BlueTooth connection (i.e. unplugging and replugging my router to refresh the connection from my cable provider) has been the culprit on other occasions but I did not realize that was what was possibly causing the fault.
And, as promised, I am reporting back after about 10 hours to say that after doing the above my FitBit One is now holding the charge. It was around 67% after step #3 and I just checked it and it is at approximately the same level of charge. Problem is fixed for now.

Same problem here
will consider a different manufacturer as a replacement

My ONE is also a 2014 vintage. Just recently I also went from charging every Sunday to having to charge every second day. I thought the battery was gone. A number of comments about this in other threads. You said you shut it off, and then connected it to your computer. Don't you have to connect it to the computer to shut it off? Does holding the ON button really reset the firmware?

When you decide what you are going to replace it with, please share your decision with us. There are so many out there. Thanks.

Apolloj - if you want to restart your One, you do need to have it in the charger (connected to your computer) to reboot it. The recent issue I had with the battery draining quickly, seems to be resolved once I deleted the One from my app and re-added it.

Mine was doing the same thing. I saw where someone on this forum removed their device from the app and then put it back on the app. I tried this and so far my One is back to normal! YES!! Thanks to the person who suggested this.

@Joda06 LOL, you're admonishing other members in a community forum that you're leaving Fitbit because your 8-year-old-tracker's battery life isn't working as it did when new? You can fix your One, get a new Fitbit, get another brand, or don't use trackers, life's filled with several options. It certainly can't hurt to explore your options and whichever option you choose, continue to push your health to new heights! 💪😎
Worth knowing, LiPo batteries in Fitbits and most every other brand of tracker, GPS, Bluetooth headset, portable speakers, etc. all are rated for 3 years at the maximum. Yes, many do last significantly longer. I've got 8-year-old Ones that still last a week on the original battery and others that don't hold much charge or none at all, repaired with new batteries.
Specific to the One: Firmware 6.64 is the best as it helps the battery, 6.46 is terrible as it doesn't, and it's also a challenging one to upgrade from. With 6.64 I'm still enjoying a week between charging

My wife's old old One has been having the same problem over the last 2 weeks or so. Fitbit support said to logout and log back into the app. That did nothing.
Yesterday we unpaired and repaired as suggested here and it seems, so far, that the battery drain has been reduced. We'll see over the next few days if this helps long term!

Actually @chilehead you impaired the tracker from the phones Bluetooth and removed it from your fitbit account.
Then you added the One back to your fitbit account, then the fitbit app paired the tracker to your phone.
I would have first tried the unpaid by removing the tracker from the phone, then opened the fitbit app and let the fitbit app pair the One to the phone.
The user can not pair the one to their phone or computer, this will be rejected.
