Bring back the One because the Inspire doesn't support multiple devices

I'm posting this separately from the Bring Back The One main thread because it documents a unique issue -- the Inspire, Fitbit's suggested successor -- can't work with other Fitbit devices.

I work on a treadmill desk. This means my Charge 3 doesn't pick up my steps, which could be 20,000+ per day. That's because it's on my wrist, and my wrist doesn't move. But my One was a great supplement to the Charge. I kept it in my pocket, and it tracked all my steps.

My One recently died. It got the dreaded randomly turns itself off problem, even with plenty of battery. I went looking for a solution, and the Inspire non-HR was pretty much it. It's what Fitbit support even recommended I try.

That came today, and I discovered that you can have a Charge 3 or have an Inspire but you can't have both on the same account. There's no way for them both to work together, in the way that the One can.

Hey, my One was over five years old. I was bummed it stopped working, but I'd gotten a lot of life and value out of it. Shifting to the Inspire, I figured OK. But not not have the same functionality was terribly disappointing.

@dannysullivan I replied separately to your separate thread, though this one made me wonder if you had the inspire with HR or without? I'm asking as if it's with HR, it's likely that Fitbit will only take the data from one tracker. I wasn't aware that any trackers could synchronize features simultaneously, as according to the help article, it'll overlap all data then choose what it interprets as the most accurate. It is the non-HR version. The multi-device feature was super great. It's one reason I upgrade to the Charge from the One and stuck with it. They synced together wonderfully.

But the inspire runs a subset of the Fitbit OS. Let's hope Fitbit is working on a solution,  we spent years trying to convince them to allow two trackers on the same account.

I know that Fitbit will never bring back the One.  But for those of us that have more than one current device (Versa +/- Inspire/InspireHR +/- Charge 3), this is one big, painful, bad idea.  We need better multiple tracker support.  Multi-tracker support for current trackers, please.

I feel so much better now.

Instead of nursery letting your fellow Fitbit users know,  why not let the Fitbit developers know by adding your vote with a well thought out post.

Allow Ionic, Versa & Charge 3 on the same account

Since the inspire runs the sale is it should be included
