HI there,
I know there are numerous posts about how to do this, but I can't seem to manually enter my calorie goal, hence my post.
My Fitbit says I need to eat around 1200 calories a day. However, I am in my 2nd trimester of pregnancy and need to increse my calorite intake by 300ish calories. I have tried every solution proposed but nothing is working. Can someone give me directions on how to manually set my calories?
Thanks in advance!
Cristina

Hi @Cristina87. From you main dashboard page, hover your mouse over the Food tile (knife and fork over a plate); and then you'll see a life of icons appearing at the bottom of the tile. Click on the left icon, the one that looks like a gear wheel, and voilà! Cheers!

Hi again @Cristina87. One other thing to remember is that you will burn calories faster as you put on weight. So it's important to keep your weight up-to-date on your Fitbit account as the Fitbit caloric burn algorithm will adjust itself accordingly and give you a more accurate caloric burn.

Thank you for replying!
However, when I select the Gear Icon, it says that I am in "Maintenance Mode". I have my current weight set as 120 (to account for the 6 pounds I have gained so far :() and have put that I want to gain 10 pounds. I hit Next a few times where it takes me to information about the Meal Planning options and then finally get taken to a screen where it says:
Your Food Plan is set to maintain your weight.
We currently do not support Food Plans with a weight gain goal.
I don't see an option to manually enter my calorie intake (even though someone had mentioned this in an older post, but that was from 2014).
Can you still help me?

Hi @Cristina87. Yes, I see what you mean and I got the same result as you did.
If you have the Weight tile on your dahsboard, you can hover your mouse over it and change the goal to a gain instead of a loss. Unfortunately, the change does not carry to the Food Plan scheme which ends up showing the very same mention to the effect that the Food Plan functionality does not support a weight gain goal. That's a bit of a paradox, since the Weight tile allows to do just that. It's the Food Plan that does not carry it through.
The best I can suggest is to stay with the Mainteance Plan, with the understanding that you can increase your intake by roughly 300 calories daily.
