Display goes blank

My display goes blank. I have to push and hold the display button for a few seconds and it comes back. I have tried resetting a few times , still have the same problem. Charging has no impact. I also believe I am losing steps while blank

That doesn't sound good. The restart procedure is the only real tool we have to address issues with our fitbits. It doesn't always work so trying a few times was a good idea. As it hasn't worked I think your best course of action would be to contact customer support:

thank you for your response ; i will contact customer support but not optomistic. I am a an avid fan of the concept and enjoy the device but wish it had replaceable batteries
