I have absolutely had it. This is going to be a rant, but I know I'm not the only one having these issues.
I keep seeing post after post where people say their Ones won't sync. Mine won't either. So I uninstalled the apps and reinstalled. Both on the phone and the Macbook.
Problem is, you can only log in using your account details on the phone -- not via Facebook as far as I can see -- and I have forgotten my password, because generally it's just logged in. Has been for years.
I have hit reset passwork at least 12 times today. I have NOT received an email to reset my password. How is that even possible? Surely it's automated and should just send one out.
As far as the Macbook goes, the dongle isn't being recognised, so despite the install, uninstall, reinstall, it won't let me set the One up again. The only options to click on when looking at the Dongle are Fitbit Dashboard and Online Help.
I had a Flex for three years with pretty much no problem. Why in the past six-12 months does it seem that everyone is having problems and they all relate to syncing?
I have tried emailing, I have tried contacting Fitbit on Twitter and Facebook, I tried to chat option (which I now can't find) but it wouldn't load, my timezone makes it difficult to call -- given the only number I can find is in the US.
I'm at the point where I want to take a hammer and smash the godforsaken thing.

Have you checked your Spam folder - the emails may have been sent but not received?
Once you get the password sorted out then it sounds like a restart of the One is worth trying - this does no harm and can sort out all sorts of issues. The only problem with it is that it doesn't always work so it's recommended that you try it at least 3 times. Here's the process:

I have re-started, re-set, reinstalled, everything you can possibly imagine.
It won't even let me set up my One at the moment. Sometimes the dongle will work and then it says that it can sync, but when I go to set the Fitbit up, suddenly that option disappears.
It's just beyond ridiculous. How can something that should be foolproof technology be so useless?
I've checked all folders. There's nothing.
I'm afraid to log out of the dashboard on my Macbook, because if I do, I'm convinced I'll never get in, because it'll never let me resest the password.

It sounds like you have done all you can and it's now down to customer support.
There are only phone numbers for US, UK and India and the web chat will only show when someone is available (US west coast office times are your best bet). Other than that it's email but it can take a few days for them to get back to you.
Good luck!

solThanks. This has been going on for months, and I have to say customer service I've got onto has been pretty hopeless. It's all been redirecting me to troubleshooting or to 'solved' issues in the forum, none of which have worked for me.
I had a Flex which synced with both the Macbook and the iPhone. As soon as I switched to the One, when the Flex died, it stopped. Could only sync manually on the Macbook and wouldn't sync at all on the iPhone, no matter how many times I installed or reinstalled the app.
It's just a joke. I'm thinking about switching to another product.
