I did a long hike of almost 4 miles yesterday, and close to 2 hours, with a pause in the middle for pictures at the top of the mountain.
I noticed today that the exercise did not sync from my iPhone 6. After trying several times, and looking online for answers, I tried resetting the fitbit, and resetting my iPhone. Nothing worked.
I then logged out of the fitbit account on my iPhone and logged back in. The exercise has now completely disapeared.
Other exercises have synced fine, both before and after this one exercise that failed. It is longer than most of my other exercises.
I did not lose steps. But I did lose the exercise tracking information. What the heck is going on? This issue looks like it has been going on since last year and it has not been resolved yet?

@billonesty It's great to see you in the Community! Seems odd that your exercise didn't sync to your Dashboard even though you have troubleshooted this issue. I'd like you to make sure that your iPhone has the most recent app version installed. If so, my best advice is to contact our Customer Support team so they can investigate further and get this issue sorted out.
Keep me posted on the outcome my friend and I'll be around!

My iPhone has the latest app on it. I always keep my apps up to date.
I have been using this fitbit for two years. I recently started "tracking exercises" because I had been using another app to track hikes and walks but I just hated the constant advertisement. I was pleased to find out the fitbit app does that tracking too, using the GPS onboard my phone.
I have had no trouble with syncing these walks for some time. Most of them are under 2 or 3 miles. Typically it is a 1 or 2 mile walk.
The one I had problems with was longer than usual. It was almost 4 miles and I paused it in the middle (when we got to the peak of the mountain) for about half an hour.
It never synced although a walk I took on the previous Friday and then one on the following Monday synced just fine.
I tried to fix things by logging out of the app then logging back in and POOF it was gone completely!
I did not lose any steps. I only lost the record of the walk.
That sounds like an app problem, not a fitbit problem.
