I clearly remember, that One was not marketed as a waterproof device and was mentioned it should not be exposed to liquids and I am VERY cautious with my gadgets not to forget them in my pockets, still my wife reported yesterday that she found my One in my jeans pocket, which just came out of the washing machine. Already like 24hrs, I recharged it this morning, as the battery was like 50%, but still - it holds well. Kudos! 🙂
As I said - it was inside my jeans pocket, clipped inside the pocket with the original Fitbit clip, which came in my One box.

Way to go little One!
@StrayFeral usually it's a Zip that gets into the washer and dryer. Your One pick up any extra steps with all the moving it did?
What a tough Fitbit you have!
Thanks for sharing and keep on stepping!

Honestly, I have no idea of extra steps. Syncinc is something I stopped doing 1y ago. These devices all bother me so much - all of them require me to do something - to charge them in the very least. See my point:
- My Playstation Vita requires charging (depends on how much I played, now since I play once every 2 weeks, I need to charge it like once per week)
- My Fitbit requires charging once per week
- My phone requires charging every day (or once per 2 days)
- My MP3 player requires charging once per week
Well, the hell with all this. This is the reason I won't buy a smart watch. My Casio holds 10 years, so this is a device I can fully rely on (and it is just a regular $54CAD watch)
Now on top of that I used to sync my One and honestly I am sick of this. After all, the only thing which really I need to see on my One is the flower. Yep, strange but true, initially I did not considered it important, but now it is the only thing I am really interested in, because it shows me if I was recently active and when I need to go for a quick walk.
As for your question - I did noticed something strange - when I got home, I saw One was working properly, but all icons were blinking. So for example - I press the button, it shows me the steps, the numbers are shown steady, but the feet icon would blink - same with the other data - numbers steady, icons blink. No idea why, but I decided it is the battery low (had no idea when I charged it last, sometimes I forget). So I put it back on my jeans and on the next day charged it. Battery however was not drained, which surprised me. To be precise it was like 70% or around it. No idea of the actual status, but this is what the indicator was showing. Now, I was expecting that the detergent would be a better electricity conductor and would discharge the battery, so I was surprised to see the battery at the same level. Maybe the detergents are not so good conductors after all (or maybe mine was not).
Anyway. So after a full charge on the next day, the blinking of the icons never appeared again. I am checking the unit, it just works. However as I said - I used the original Fitbit One clip, as provided in the box. Because it is tight, seems like the rubber stuck well to the plastic case to waterproof it. I was expecting that the super tiny space between the button and the case would allow water, but maybe it helped it was inside the pocket, so it did not allow enough humidity to break in.
Result, as I said - the unit seems intact at first glance and most important - works as before. For me this is an indicator of a well built product, so I give full credit to the brand.
Sad to read that One is dropped and Zip continues to be sold. I would never put a bracelet - so if my One die, I would simply leave the Fitbit community (unless they come with a One successor, as I've read many reviews before, Zip is not that accurate).
