Fitbit One: Too many floors

I have had my Fitbit One since March. I measured my stride to set it up, and I've been impressed with how accurate it's been.

The past three days it's registered waaaay too many floors, all of a sudden. (Today it said 39 when I know it's only been 7.)  I've seen the posts regarding barometric pressure, but we've had a particularly stormy season and it's only been a couple days it's acted funky. And today is the first clear, sunny day we've had.

How do I know if it's a normal glitch vs. something wrong with my Fitbit?

Last week it counted steps while I was riding in a jeep.....which it's never done before. Now this.

It's acting all poltergeist-y.

Is there a way to reset it?

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

A bumpy ride up a 4WD truck trail to the top of a mountain peak "earned" me 254 flights of stairs!  It's the only time it's been off by that much.  I've earned a few flights of stairs with barometric changes, but I think it was the really rough trail that made my Fitbit One think I was actually climbing those stairs.  Trips over and down the local mountains (4,000 feet or so) on regular roads never earn me flights of stairs.  I felt a little guilty for a badge I didn't really earn! 😉
