My partner and I both use the One. We clip it in our waistband.
The issue is why it measures different distances with a given amount of steps. Last week, she did 85,287 steps and a total of 49.8 miles. I did 92,053 steps but totaled 49.5 miles. This has been consistent.
Can anyone shed light as to how this is possible?
Thank you!

Could it be that you are a little shorter than your partner?
Fitbit calculates the miles by multiplying your step count by your stride length and it calculates a default stride length based on your gender and height. Normally the taller a person is the longer their stride and therefore they take less steps to cover a certain distance than someone shorter.
