Fitbit One and Galaxy s7 Edge

I know of at least one person on here who is using their Galaxy s7 Edge to sync with their Fitbit One.  I am curious to know if there are other One users who are able to sync their One to their Galaxy s7?  I am considering getting the s7 Edge but I'm nervous because I don't see the s7 or the s7 Edge listed as compatible devices.  Any other users using the One with the s&?

Hi @khart68 how are you doin' today? By now, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is not on the list of compatible devices yet, so in the meantime, if you have another mobile device that you can use to sync, it will be great or you can also use a computer to do so. Its a matter of time for this phone to be on the list. Our developers are working to accomplish that. Smiley Wink

I haven't switched phones yet.  I was planning to switch from the ipone 5c to the new Galaxy s7 edge but I haven't done it yet.  Is there any idea how long before it will be compatible?  If I update my phone I won't be able to use the old phone any more.  I could get the s6, but I really want the newest model since I will probably keep it for 2-3 years before I upgrade again.  I'm really frustrated and don't understand why the newest Galaxy isn't compatible.

How are you doin' @khart68! I understand that you want to get the newest model, and let me tell you that, is not gonna take so much for the Samsunf Galaxy S7 Edge to be compatible, however I can't tell you how long is gonna take because I don't have that information. But may I suggest you to get this new Samsung and it'll be a matter of a few weeks to be compatible. In the meantime, well I can suggest you to use your iPhone 5c to sync, I mean just for that or use a computer as well. Smiley Wink

Thanks.  I think I'm going to go ahead and get the s7 edge and just hope that it won't be too long before it is compatible.  I don't know if I will still be able to use the iphone after I switch, but I do have a computer so even though it will be inconvenient I guess that will work.

I'm pretty sure it won't take so long for that phone to be compatible! So as I mentioned, you can sync in the meantime with your computer, because I understand that could be a little uncomfortable to use 2 phones and one of them just to sync.

So don't worry, you will see the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on the list very soon!

I got the new s7 edge and so far everything seems to be working smoothly.  I still have the iphone as a backup so if I run into any issues I'll just use that.  Thanks for your help.

I have the S7edge. I didn't have to do anything and my fitbit synced right up to my S7

Mine synced up with no problem too.  I was worried because when I was researching the phone it was not listed as compatible with Fitbit.  I have noticed that the sync is a little slow and yesterday when I logged my yoga it gave me 79 calories lower than it did on my iphone and did not count that 50 minutes as active minutes.  I haven't figured out why it would log as one thing on the iphone and another thing on the samsung. But for the most part it is working well.

Strangely, I got an S7 two weeks ago and had no trouble pairing/syncing with my One. The phone had an unrelated battery issue, and since it was only two weeks old, they swapped it out for a new one. The new S7 will absolutely not even pair with my One. The S7 sees the One, but gives an error and won't pair. Very weird.

Hi @Lange47, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! Smiley Very Happy So in other words, you had a Samsung Galaxy S7 and it was syncing fine, but as that phone was defective, it was replaced and now the exact same model is no longer syncing with your tracker, right? If so, let me give you a hand on this. I suggest you to first of all, try to restart your One by following the instructions on this post. Then, please take a look of this post in order to set it up your One with your phone. In addition, you can try to reboot the Bluetooth on your phone and try the pair process again.

Let me know if that works!

Thanks for the response.
As it turns out, they are working together just fine. For whatever reason,
I kept getting the message that the "Fitbit was rejecting the pairing"
even though it wasn't. Silly me, I spent a long time trying everything the
website suggested, and it was only after I gave up that I noticed it was
paired and syncing.

The issue appeared only for the original pairing with the S7 and the One.
It said that the Fitbit denied the pairing, which was not true. Have had no
issues since then. Thank you!!

Thanks for your response @Lange47! Sounds pretty cool that your One and your Samsung Galaxy S7 are working perfectly fine now. This update will help other users with issues at the moment to pair/sync their trackers with that Samsung model.
