My Fitbit One is 7 yrs old and has worked everyday since I got it. Been thru the wash two times and recovered. This week it now will not display, except when I put it on the charger, and then only shows “FITBIT 6.64” and then the battery symbol, which changes from full to half full depending on how long it’s been on the charger and off again.
When I take it off the charger, it again shows “FITBIT 6.64” and then “STEPS“ with feet symbol, and then “0” with feet symbol.
My Fitbit app sees it and can connect to it with Bluetooth, but if I shake it the steps won’t change.
If I leave it on its back and then move it, it has the silly messages like “HOLD ME”.
I followed the reboot sequence a few times but nothing works. It’s been on the charger all day But that makes no difference.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Never mind. Found the answer here:

Looks like a dead battery. Directions on replacing it is in the thread above. I’m going to give it a try.
