Starting yesterday, my One started high-counting floors. When I put it on this morning It said I had 10 floors but no steps. After moving around a while I have 29 floors! For now, I just turned off the floors on the dashboard. I tried a reset and it didn't change anything.

In some cases when there's lots of wind, alot of 'false' stairs can be detected.

If this isn't the issue and cause it remains after restarted the tracker,

I'm having the same issue - as of last Friday (8/12), my One has been registering flight counts between 50 and 150 (my usual is 5-20). It seems like this must be update related, since neither my habits nor the weather has changed that drastically as to give wildly different results.

About this issue of counting more floors, mine has same issue as it just started last night in early morning hours as I work shift work. 9-16. I was able to see the change over at midnight. Mine is a fit bit one by the way. It has been very accurate up to this point. Step counting is still accurate but normally my floor count is 10-20 floors in a 24 hour period. Right now at 4:09pm I have 115 floors counted. I have had my fitbit close to 3 years and never experienced any problem. I will try to reset as that seems to be the most common answer in the community. Please if anyone else finds another fix, let me know! Thanks everyone!

This happened to me, too. I think it may have to do with the app update. I had just updated the app (but not iOS) and all of a sudden my floor count quadrupled.

Just yesterday 9-16-2016 I rebooted my fitbit 1 it is back to counting floors correctly. I plugged it into computer, held
button for 12 seconds, then unplugged it, an held button again until it lit up a restarted. As I said mine seems to be working
as it did before. To add another note I work in a place that has extreme temperature variations and lots of fans. I never had
problems with my fit bit 1 as I heard others speak of. Well hope this helps!

Now I am back to say my reboot lasted one 24 hour period and floor counting is back on the blink. I think we need more help!

Starting last week or so, my Fitbit One started counting floors climed that I did NOT climb. Today I have 26 floors climbed when I have climbed NONE. Does fitbit ever respond to these community posts?

I have just started posting recently, as of yet, no response from customer service!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I noticed yesterday that my Fitbit said I climbed 43 flights of stairs, and just this morning it said I'd already climbed 12. I will try rebooting my device and see if that does the trick.
