My One stopped syncing a few days ago, then I read here that it is no longer supported on a desktop. UGH! I got my first smartphone 3 days ago and am slowly learning how to use it. Can anyone tell me how to find out if the One will work with my Samsung Galaxy smartphone & if so, how to set it up?

Hi @sassyshrimper lots to learn with a new smartphone. Here is the list of compatible devices - click to read. As long as your Android system is at least Android 8, which my older Samsung Galaxy 8 is running OS 9. So if you've a newer system, it should be fine. Here is the link - click - to set up your Fitbit.

@sassyshrimper I have a different opinion from @Odyssey13. Your One is already on your account and you should not need to set it up again. Download the Fitbit app from the Google Play Store and sign in with your same email/password.

Thank you for the detailed info! As soon as I can figure out where to find what Android thing I have, I will be ready to take the next steps.

If I log in after I download the Fitbit app, how do I get the info from the One tracker to the site? Does the Fitbit dongle button plug into my phone somewhere?

Desktop user also. Now the big question for myself is, if a person doesn't have/use a mobile phone they won't be able to keep a tally of their daily steps, sleep, weight etc.?

@sassyshrimper No, you won't need the dongle. Your One should connect directly to you phone via Bluetooth.
@colddonkey You don't need a smartphone per se, you need a compatible Android/Apple device and that includes tablets. I recently charged my old One and set it up on my wi-fi only iPad using a different account. Works fine.

Hmmm, interesting! I have a Fire tablet also so I am hoping that either it or my smartphone will work. Still learning to use the smartphone but will save the info from here in hopes of being able to use my One on either of them. Thanks for your help!

@sassyshrimper If you are new to using a smartphone, stick with your phone. The Kindle Fire HD tablets use a modified Android system, but they don't support the Fitbit app.

Thanks to everyone for your help! I downloaded the FB App and kept fiddling with the phone/app/Bluetooth and by some miracle the info from the last few weeks showed up on the dashboard. I have looked for the answer to this and can't find it, so once again I am appealing to the community for help. I normally sync every morning so that my sleep is recorded. How do I sync with the App, phone and Bluetooth every morning? Thanks again for your help and patience!

Go to your devices app store.
Search for Fitbit, the one made by fitbit. If it asks you to pay, you havegtge wrong app.
Log into your fitbit account, and accept all requests.
Your tracker should now do a sync.
Kindle does have a fitbit app that was ported over 4-5 years ago. It may or may not work
