Hi,
I have updated my Fitbit one to 6.4 but when I remove from the cradle there is no response, no lights, nothing!
Has this happened to anyone else? I have reset, once, and three times in a row! Unfortunately it is still unresponsive….please help! The Fitbit one is only discoverable when it’s in the charging cradle.

Hi, @sianadams , unfortunately this almost certainly means that the battery in your One has come to the end of its life. If you are hand (and can do a bit of soldering too) you may be able to replace it. YouTube will be your friend for this! I do know someone who has replaced the battery on his several times.
If you are not up to doing that, you may want to move to one of the newer devices. The Inspire or Inspire 2 both have the ability to be worn on either the wrist or in a clip.
Sorry not to have better news for you. Welcome to the forums!

Not true. I have a brand new One, and I'm having the same problem.

Hi, @AlanKj , the Fitbit One was discontinued several years ago, so it is not possible that you have a brand new One. If you can identify which Fitbit you have, then I am sure you can get help with your issue. If your Fitbit is new, and purchased from an authorised seller, it will be covered by guarantee.
In order to identify which Fitbit you have please have a look at the Fitbit store and you will see pictures of each device. https://www.fitbit.com/global/products/trackers

@AlanKj As Julia_G pointed out, the One was discontinued several years ago. I purchased a backup One after they were discontinued and never took it out of the package. My original One (Christmas 2012) was malfunctioning so I broke out the backup and had the same results you describe. The rechargeable battery degrades if it just sits in a package such that it won't hold a charge even though the display shows a full charge as long as it is plugged into the charging cable. If yours was purchased recently on eBay, I hope you can get a refund or an exchange from the seller. If not, it is toast and the only option is to attempt a battery replacement. My son recently replaced the battery on my NIB but dead One and it worked perfectly! I am getting about 2 1/2 weeks per charge. The process is documented on this forum. You can search for my posts to see the assistance I received from other forum members, especially Williger, who was very helpful. Good luck to you!

Hi, @AlanKj , if you had been clearer in your original post I could also have answered! I know several devotees of the FitBit One who have (more once) changed the battery. There are a number of YouTube videos which will guide you through the process. You will need to be comfortable with a small amount of soldering.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

@AlanKj You are most welcome, and good luck to you! My son said it only took a few minutes once he got the battery and the proper adhesive, as he already had the tools. The challenge was getting the case apart without breaking it, but he had a tool he has used to work on cell phones and a heat gun.
I am just glad that battery replacement is possible, and that I have a handy son! I REALLY like my One, and would not wear a wrist tracker.
