I am having a problem with syncing. I was reading on the posts to click on the fitbit icon on the bottom right hand side of the computer. I have done that and the icon is not there. How do I get that icon on my laptop.

This is beginning to make more sense. Sorry about the confusion with the icon.
With my Windows 10 I decided to stop using the app because I do use the software (and the icon) and I found that the 2 interfered with each other and caused syncing problems. However, I seem to remember that the app lets you sync on demand. Does this work for you or are you relying on automatic syncs?
The only other suggestion I can make is if you have a compatible phone then you could sync via that whenever you want.

The icon only appears when the fitbit connect has been installed. Have you downloaded and run this from www.fitbit.com/setup ?
If you have then try clicking on the little up arrow immediately to the left of the icons that are there. This will show any hidden icons.
If that fails then you could try reinstalling the software which should recreate the icon.

Thanks for the info SteveH..I went to the url you gave me for setup and it says it is already installed. I do not have the icon either where the hidden icons are.
Do I have to uninstall the software before reinstalling...if the answer is yes, I cannot find the program in my program files.

No, just running the downloaded file should be fine. You shouldn't need to uninstall first.

when I go to download the file it tells me it is already installed and there is no option to download. I did find an option that lets me add my device but it said I already have one installed and I had to add...I hit the add and it said it found my One...I still do not have the icon...
BTW, I am doing this on my pc with Windows10
Also, I looked to update and I have Firmware 60...is that correct?

OK. I'm getting confused and I don't seem to helping much. I'm hoping someone else will join this conversation with some ideas.
You mention you are using Windows 10. There are 2 ways of using Windows 10 with fitbit. You can download the fitbit connect software as with Windows 8 and then I'd expect there to be the icon we have been searching for. The other way is to use the fitbit app from windows app store. This way doesn't have the icon. Perhaps this is where the confusion is.
In your last post you mention that you found an add option. Can you describe what what you did to get that option? I'm suspecting that you are using the app.
Let's go back to the beginning. You say you are having problems syncing. Why do you say that? If you go to the Web dashboard at www.fitbit.com and click on the "gear" icon at the top right it should say when you last synced.

I downloaded the app from the Windows App Store...so that is the reason I do not have the icon.
The add option I mentioned happened when I tried to add my One and it told me I already had my One registered. But it did take me thru a couple of steps such as what do I want to be called on the One, etc..and that was it.
I know that I can see the last syn time...but it does not sync as often as it should. I am writing this post and I am still waiting for it to sync from 10am this morning. I guess that is my biggest concern is that it takes awfully long to sync.
