Fitbit losing steps when Syncing

So my Fitbit One, when I just synced after hitting my 10k step goal (10,043 to be specific) I decided to sync my Fitbit. It took a few extra moments to sync and when it had finished it had instead changed the amount of steps on my tracker to 9,954.
While it's not a huge loss, I'm worried it would have been if I waited longer to sync it (last sync was about 10 minutes before, when I was at 9,954). I'm going on a long hike tomorrow morning, and I really don't want to go on my hike to return home and sync just for it to change back to 0. Is there anyway to stop it from getting confused like this?

@KaitlynMM Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I recommend performing a restart on your One (check @Odyssey13's post)! That should fix those issues. If you need to recover any of the lost data; you can always manually log an activity (check @GisselleM's post). That will credit you with accurate data.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
