There have been rumors for at least a week but it seems to be verified that the Google purchase of Fitbit will definitely happend, and for about $2.1 Billion US.

Hello @michae1a1ee  I'm sure there will be more information released before Fitbit completes the sale. It's too early to say what the sale means, but I tend to look at things on a positive note. With Google as the parent company, Android devices will be supported.

Whatever the future brings, everyone needs to continue the journey they began to a healthier lifestyle. Keep on stepping!

I'm totally happy that Google is buying them.  As long as our historic Fitbit data is migrated, and I expect it will be, then it will be an improvement in terms of Android support and I expect the Fitbit Android App, or whatever replaces it, will work better than the current one over time.  I don't however expect this will mean the One tracker will become better supported, or suddenly a new direct replacement for it will be announced.
