I want to track cycling with the fitbit app although I can only see options to track a run, walk or hike.
Is there a way to rename one of these? I don't need the option of walk and hike as I don't know what the difference between a walk and a hike.

@carolm Welcome to the Fitbit Community! To track a cycling activity you need to manually log that activity. There is an specific option for you to track cycling on the online dashboard. If you are going to do it on the app, just type it down to track the exercise. I left a picture below showing how cycling looks on the online dashboard.
Also, the difference between walking and hiking is that hiking is a walk in which you go from a lower elevation to a higher one, doing more effort. When you walk you usually take a smooth and flat path.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the reply.
For me, the difference between hiking and walking is minimal, and it would be better to rename one of the trackable activities as cycling.
I have to time and measure my cycling in a different way to be able to manually log it with fitbit.
You say - 'If you are going to do it on the app, just type it down to track the exercise.' I'm not sure where you mean that I should just type it down.
I have found this route on the android app:
Track your exercise
stopwatch icon
log previous, then I can type it in.

Carol

@carolm I hope you're doing well! Yes, that is exactly how you do it on the app to manually log the activity. Tap on track exercise > tap stopwatch on the top right corner > tap on log previous > type the name of the activity.
See you around!
