Ghost steps

Yesterday a ghost seemed to to 13,400 steps on my tracker. I've done a negative on my steps by putting driving in my activity and it's only taken the 6,700 ish steps off I actually did. How can I fix this?

Did you put driving in for the entire time steps accumulated?
Also, I use an android app called DriveBit when driving.  It does all the fitbit entry steps, all you do is turn it on and off when you drive and stop.

Hello @Samzcrazy, welcome aboard to our community. Note that the only way to delete steps is logging the activity Driving on your activity section of the Dashboard. Although it has to be for the total time where the steps where recorded just like @Ohio-Bob mentioned above.

1. Sign into your Dashboard and click the 'Log Activity' icon from the menu at the top of the screen.
2. Select the date or dates in question.
3. In the activity menu, type in "Driving" and enter the time and duration of time that the steps were recorded.
4. Click "Log Activity." You will see the steps, calories burned, and other data decrease for the time period specified.

These phantom steps most of the times are recorded due to the location where you are leaving your tracker. If there is any source of air or any device that causes minimal vibrations, your tracker may read this activity as actual exercise. You can review one of my favorite post made by @PureEvil for more information.

Keep me posted how it goes, I'll be here.

I've put the whole day down as driving and still clocking 13,400 steps, the fitbit is and always it's kept on my bra and never experienced any error before. So I've gained badges I've not actually done and for steps I've not walked. It's also disrupted my weight watchers goals as it synced to there

Hello there @Samzcrazy, this definitely is weird, as it should remove your amount of steps and floors. Unfortunately it wont remove your badges. I'm really sorry that has made a chaos on your Weight Watchers account by consequence of this issue. try to delete the activity of driving you have logged and use other platform to log this. If you used a computer, instead use the app or viceversa.

If is not working please take a moment to reach out to our Support Team and let them know of your efforts to to remove your steps I have full faith that they will be able to advise you any other solutions.

Hope this can be resolved and keep me updated.
