Has Fitbit stopped allowing Fitbit One to sync? It no longer syncs on iPhone nor using my computer.

Hello,

I have had a Fitbit One for over 6 years. I received it while working for WW when we partnered with them. I still love the convenience of it; however, I have not been able to sync it up since 7/7/2020. I have tried on both my old iPhone 7 as well as my new iPhone 12. I currently have it plugged into my older model desktop computer where it used to sync, but it will not do so anymore. Has Fitbit stopped allowing it to sync?

I've reset my device and now it syncs! Yay!!!

Plug it into the charging station, then press and hold the button for 10 seconds until you see the mention FITBIT 6.16 appear. It should work after that.

It worked!!! Thank you! My Fitbit says 6.64 which appears to be the latest version of it. Appreciate your feedback greatly!

I did what was suggested: plug into the charger, hold down the button and once you see FITBIT 6.64 ( that’s what mine said), it will be able to sync again. Now, I held it for 10 seconds and didn’t see anything. I took my finger off the button, pushed it again and that’s when I saw the information.

I have managed to get mine to sync again by pIugging into my laptop,  holding the button down for 15 seconds,  then release and pressed once and it was OK.

You're welcome, glad it worked! It must have been 6.64 for me too, my brain just couldn't retain that much information 😂

Thank you.  This finally worked for me -- and I did shut the One down before putting on the charge cable connected to my iMac and then held the button down for 10 seconds as you suggested. It seems the software (trying to sync and not finding my One) is wearing the One's battery down.  I had a full charge this morning before getting on my treadmill to walk and then noticed that my batter was very low.  This is the second time it has done this in as many months.  Is this something that is going on regarding support for the One?  Perhaps there was a firmware update?  Would be nice if FitBit would let us know.

If you're having trouble syncing your device, update the Fitbit app to the latest version. Read more here.

I reset / synced my One yesterday and paired via bluetooth with my desktop.  Today I logged into the site and it says:  You haven't synced lately. Need Help?  and the little sync tool button has a line through it / unable to click on it.  Am I missing something?  I see nowhere else where I can select to sync, or do I need to plug it into my computer daily and reset it?  V 6.64

You may want to try restarting your desktop.  If it still does not see your FitBit, I would try the instructions posted on 1/23/21 in this message trail. That worked for me.

@GingerSnapA can you please share a screenshot? I've never seen a sync tool button on their website.

Traditionally, people sync from their phones with the Fitbit app or a computer with Fitbit for Windows 10.

You don't need to have the tracker plugged in to sync.

What do you mean by daily reset?

mine just did the same thing, was fully charged when I went to bed and was dead when I went to use it the next morning. I have the One and a Charge 3, I like the numbers much better from the one. It was the one that was my daily step count, now its the Charge. How do I get it back to the One being the dominant one?

@ljohn51 what do you mean by dominant one? you can use both of those trackers on the same account, though I'd highly recommend if you do to sync before switching them to avoid losing out on steps!
