How do I change my email address on my Fitbit account?

I typed in my wrong email and want to change it. How?

If you go to your profile settings at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit you'll see a link for changing your email near the top

The iPhone app "fitbit" is requesting "Email Verification Required", but the email address it is sending to has a typo.  I cannot read that email to verify  because it is not my email address.  I log onto this community forum using my correct account email address.   My profile when accessed here using the internet shows the correct email address, but the phone app is showing an address with one letter in the address being a typo. How do I correct the address shown in the iPhone app ?
