How to match calories on online dashboard with calories on food plan.

I have my food plan set to a 250 calorie deficit for slow weight loss.  Online the food plan shows I have 2235 calories available for the day, but the dashboard shows 1985.  It seems that the dashboard takes off an additional 250 calories.  Is there a way to set the dashboard so it agrees with the food plan?

Hello @Edab, good to see you around in our community. Your Food plan will provides a daily calorie estimate giving you dynamic feedback of whether you are under, in, or above your selected plan's recommended calorie deficit. The calorie Deficit is already counted by your food plan so you don't have to subtract this from your plan. I believe this is due to the calorie fluctuation, in other words the Calories In vs Out will work in a different way than the Food plan tile. While the Calories In vs Out will tell you how many calories you have burned by your activities against the calorie intake. The Food Plan tile will estimate based on your activity history to estimate your calorie burn for the day and increases or decreases that number if you're more or less active then usual throughout the day. So if your Food Plan is set in "personalized" the calorie allowance is showing you of 2235 calories is a projection of the calories you may burn in a day and this number will increase or decrease based on how active you are during the day.

While your calorie budget resets to a certain number at the start of each day, as the day progresses your calorie budget fluctuates based on your activity, increasing when it projects you will exceed your average daily calorie burn (for example if you go on a big run in the morning) and decreasing/normalizing when your activity slows later on. If this fluctuation is disruptive for you can configured your food plan as "Set my own calorie target" to establish a permanent daily calorie goal.

Hope this explains a little how it works your food plan, see you around!

I understand what you are saying about calories on the food plan fluctuating.  What I don't understand is why what I see on the online dashboard is right at 250 calories less than what the food plan says.  The food plan already figures in the 250 calorie reduction, then the online dashboard takes off another 250 calories.  The calories shown on the dashboard on my computer agree with the online food plan.  Toward the end of the day this discrepancy causes the online dashboard to say, as an example, that I might have maybe 50 calories left to eat while the food plan says I still have 300.  Again, the dashboard on my computer will also say I have 300 calories left for the day.  It just seems like the online dashboard needs adjustment.
