Is Fitbit One over-estimating my calories burned?

I woke up this morning and noticed my fitbit2 had be burning 1k calories and i hadnt worn it while i was sleep. Does it calculate even when i dont have it on?

@TGG, what you are seeing is your BMR Calories, or the calories burned just keeping your body functioning.  The BMR calories will be burned whether you are sleeping, watching TV, or eating dinner - it is the engery required to keep you on the green side of Terra Firma.

 

BTW, the Subject of your post says Fitbit One, but the post itself says "fitbit2" (Charge 2?).  Are you talking about the Charge 2?
