My friend told me about a contest that goes by median steps (NOT mean or average). She said you can use a Fitbit to participate, but I don't see where one gets median steps over a time period using Fitbit.

@FB-101 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for your interest in participating in "contests" while using your Fitbit tracker.
What do you mean by "median steps"? The only type of contest you can participate in with your One are Challenges and Adventures. Did your friend meant that? Can you ask her the name of the contest?
Keep me posted! ![]()

It was not a fitbit challenge. It was with some other company. I will have to ask her the name.
By median steps I mean median steps. Rather than mean (average). She wanted to know if the dashboard provided a way to figure that. It's a bit of a pain to calculate by hand.
(The median is the midpoint, the number at which half the entries are greater and half are lower.)

I don't know why I got an email about this. Does Fitbit just pester us with emails about all posts?
