I inherited an opened FitBit One from a deceased relative. I already contacted FitBit support and we cannot locate his account, and any serial number from the box cannot locate the device in your system.
When I charge the FitBit, it sometimes lights up with the battery indicator but I can’t turn it on.
Is this a lost cause? Is there any other identifying information that can be used to help salvage this, what appears to be, a barely used FitBit One?
Sincerely,
Wishful and frustrated

Did you set it up? When t is set up it takes over for the new person using it. It does not need to be removed from another account. When it is set up by someone new it is removed from the other account

As @WendyB. says @Ngsoprano simply load the Fitbit app onto your phone. Log into your Fitbit account and setup the tracker.
