I just lost my fitbit somewhere in Hampton Roads, Virginia on the Peninsula around Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, June 17, 18 or 19th. Only places I have been were Yorktown Victory Center, LongHorn Steakhouse on Jefferson and IHOP on route 17 in Yorktown.  I also went shopping at the Food Lion in Patriot square in Yorktown.  Is there any way that I can disable my One so that it would be able to find its way back to me? Could I program a telephone number for someone to call? It answers to CJ, when you pick it up.  It says that it has been synced at 3:41 PM.  How can it be synced without the dongle? Please help.  I was doing so well. Thank you.

I FOUND MY ONE!!!!!!  I just did the detective work with my bluetooth and android telephone!  I am soooo happy.  Thanks for all of the suggestions.  Seeing that it synced today was KEY!  There were no steps or calories or anything on it.  Oh, by the way, it was in my bedroom on the couch. I took a brief nap this afternoon and that is when it probably synced.  Anyhow, thank you for all of the good suggestions.  They worked.

I followed the posted steps in the I Lost My Tracker section and found my
Fitbit One. I found that it was syncing but showed no steps. That told me
that it was near my device at some time, 4:16 pm in this case. I had
been briefly napping at that time in my bedroom. I searched that area and
my hubby found it behind a couch pillow. So start out by seeing if your
device has synched.

Sooooooo sad. I think my One must have fallen into the toilet. Noticed it gone and searched house and yard, no luck. Loaded app to find it and it sensed it, but I could never get it to sync or get close to it after three hours. Later that night, it never could sense it again. I just got it in August for my birthday. I loved, loved, loved it. Feel like I lost my little friend. I used it every day and loved how it motivated me. Very bummed. 😞

Has it gotten any steps added? If down the toilet, every time it flushed,
steps would be added. I lost mine in washer once and had over 5,000
steps! If no steps added, it means your ONE is somewhere stationary and
that is a good sign. Try to retrace your steps very carefully. I found my
ONE lodged behind a sofa pillow. Never thought to look there! Did you try
the alarm feature you can set with your device? If that works, just set it
and when it goes off listen for that sound. Be diligent. Persistence pays
off! Please let me know if you find it.

It would be cool if Tile and Fitbit could work together.

I lost my Fitbit near the Katy Trail in Sedalia Missouri. Left a message with the visitor center there and hoped someone would turn it in, but no luck.

Also contacted Fitbit. If I ever find one, I would contact the company, I think.

SO...

I just replaced it (They were kind enough to send me a coupon for 25% off), but now I think in trying to follow the instructions to get the new one synched up I may have lost 2 years of data and all my badges. Wah..

Or I just haven't figured it out yet.

I lost mine a couple of Weeks ago.  Immediately ordered a New One.  Got it and found the Original that Evening!  So now I'm ready for the next Time I lose it!

Mine wasn't on the Couch, it was beside the Recliner, between it and the End Table.  I hadn't put it into the Wrist Sleep Band after taking it out of the Holder.  Like an idiot, I had just placed it in my Lap while I applied Hand Lotion.  Then I dozed off.  (I had completely forgotten that until I found it!)
