What do I need to do to unlink it or whatever I need to do to keep it from registering someone else's use of it?

Hello @PerryLowell  sorry you lost your One. Is there a chance you might be able to find it? There is no way to prevent someone from setting up and using any Fitbit device that they find. All you can do would be remove it from your account, but that wouldn't change another's ability to use it. Sorry.

Thanks, I've just torn apart the car and the house... and then found that my cats were playing with it under the bed.  Disaster averted.  Thanks for your reply... I was afraid that would be the answer, so I'm glad my boyz found it.
