My One will not hold a charge

Just like everyone else writing in, suddenly, my Fitbit One will no longer hold a charge. I have had a great experience with my One, for the past 18 months, synchs properly, and a good 7 days between charges, but now, just 48 hours, and I have to charge again. I've tried turning it off and on, plugging it into my laptop, to no avail.

How old is it they do die after a while and dont last forever

It's a One. Not a flex.
It's 17 months old.
