My fitbit One 6.60 wont stay on or record info

I haven't used my fitbit one for a few years. I plugged it in to charge and when I press the button, all it shows on the display is Fitbit 6.60 or a full battery symbol. When its not plugged in, it won't do anything.  I was able to update the fitbit with the new software but it won't do anything or record any new information. HELP! Thanks!

That sounds like the battery is no longer working.
