My fitbit one won't count any steps

My battery is fully charged and after a 30 min. walk, my steps are still at 0.  I tried restarting it and nothing changed.  My iphone shows it's synced to the fitbit, but it too, is at 0.  I believe it may have stopped counting steps some time yesterday.  Looking for suggestions
