I pulled out a new Fitbit One I bought a few years ago.
I charged it and tried to turn it on but I get nothing.
I followed FitBit's suggestion. Plugged it in, hit the power button for 10 seconds. It lights up. Says Fitbit with some numbers on the screen and then shuts off.
Any suggestions?
Fitbit wants me to ship it to them for a discount to buy a new device

@cer2 If it's still in the box with its accessories, I'll purchase it from you. I like to buy new/dead Fitbit Ones and replace them with nice brand-new batteries to give them another chance at life, it's such a great little tracker. Bottom line, your battery died from the years you left it unused and it's not going to charge, you can replace it which isn't that difficult, or purchase a new Fitbit tracker. Cheers!

@cer2 Possibly. I generally advise people to fix their own as don't know how to handle logistics like shipping and payments. If it was literally a brand new One and just has a dead battery, it's a high probability it's very repairable! I've rarely (maybe 1 out of 10) found unsalvageable ones. If you're comfortable with a soldering iron and working on small electronics, it's doable and you can find batteries for them on eBay or Amazon for around $15. I love these little trackers and like seeing them rocking forward!
