Recorded exercises not showing on dashboard

When I use my Fitbit One to track my exercises by holding the button to start the timer, they don't show up on the dashboard. When I log an exercise manually it shows and it also counts towards my exercise goals.
Am I really supposed to log everything manually in order to be able to meet my goals?

It's great to see you around the Community @CodeMonkeySmiley Very Happy Are you trying to see this activity on your Fitbit App? If so, note that you can't view activity details from the One in the Fitbit App; only on your Fitbit.com Dashboard online.

Use the timer on your Fitbit One to track a specific activity in greater detail. For example, if you put your tracker in exercise mode and go for a walk or run, when you sync your tracker after your exercise you’ll see a new entry on your fitbit.com activity log. The entry provides a summary of the activity's stats as well as a minute-by-minute graph.

To track an exercise:

  1. Hold down the button until you see the timer start. While your tracker is recording an activity, its icons will blink continuously and you will see a stopwatch for the duration of the activity.
  2. When you're done with your workout, hold down the button until you see the timer stop.
  3. Sync your tracker.
  4. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard and go to Log > Activities to see the activity.

Hope this helps! Smiley Very Happy
