Sync from my one is overwritten by my Ionic

I use my Ionic on a daily basis and everything works fine.

On a Saturday I drive steam trains, so do not wear my Ionic, and carry my One instead.  This works fine (although I don't think it counts as many steps).

Then, when I get home the One syncs correctly, anywhere between 5000 and 15000 steps. However, immediately after doing this, those steps disappear never to be seen again, and my dashboard only shows the 100 or so steps from my Ionic from before I took it off.

This has happened on my last three trips to the railway, although on the first occassion, the steps did eventually reappear.

Anyone got any suggestions?

@Gary_St you'd have to contact Fitbit support to access your actual logs though it's quite likely, as I had a similar situation years back, that your Ionic moved a few steps and this was enough to override (Fitbit will always take the tracker with the least number of steps). In my case, once the cat had knocked it around while I was out running another time the tracker just fell off a dresser. I suggest disabling auto-sync on each and making sure to manually sync before switching between trackers and secure whichever one you're not using in a very stable place. I'd previously lost thousands of steps, now it's no longer an issue.

Hi Williger,

Thanks for getting back to me.  I believe the problem is with my One as it did this every time I tried to use it.

I have borrowed my wife's One and used it on Friday and Monday when I was back on the railway.  Both times, the One sync'd properly  and when I put my Ionic back on things carried on as they should.

I will try my One again and see what happens. If it goes wrong again, I'll follow your advice.
