Syncs with phone but only keeps 1 week history

I have had my Fitbit one for about 2 weeks now. I have it synced with my Android phone. Did not see any problems until today when I tried comparing this week to last week's steps taken. I only have about 1 week recorded, totally list my first week's steps, etc. I had to recharge my Fitbit One just yesterday. So seems my battery is staying charged. Do I need to change setting so that I can have more than 1 week of history stored? Thank you.

That's strange. There are no settings for this, all data is kept on the fitbit servers indefinitely.

It's perhaps no confidence though that your One has enough memory to hold 7 days data between syncs so I wonder if it is really syncing to the fitbit servers. Could you check whether there is any data on your web dashboard at www.fitbit.com ?

@cet765,

Welcome to the community!

May I trouble you to elaborate on which parts of the dashboard you're looking at?  There are certain elements which definitely only show a week's worth of activity, these include:

  • Steps on the friends leaderboard.
  • This week's activity tile.

For some parts of the dashboard this makes sense.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for everyone's help! I see what I was doing wrong (looking at the wrong part expecting to see the full history). I'm on such a learning curve with my new "toy"!
