Tens of thousands of steps added when taken off charger

I've had my Fitbit One for about a month now. I've had to charge it three times. Each time i take it off of the charger it says I have at least 60,000 to 75,000 steps (I am usually sleeping and it charges in the other room). I've tried to reset and it won't during that day, just keeps adding. However at midnight it starts the count at 0 and is fine until next charge. Anyone else have this issue? How can I fix it?

@Kim712 by any chance is there somthing that may cause vibrations to the table that the One is on. Some have fond that a fan can add many steps.

By reset are you reffering to the restart procedure? This will not reset the One or the steps, it also will not effect the data tyat has alredy been sync.
