Too many steps and can't "delete"!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've always kept my FitBit by the bed, on a table with a fan, last night it obviously took the fan as "steps". After my 3 mile run, I had done 17k+ steps! I tried several times to reset and to manually add "driving" into my day to counteract, still nothing! I'm still at 17+ steps! Please help as I'm more upset it's over tracking that under tracking (at least that I can manually add!).

The driving activitiy must be input at the exact time the steps took place.

Hello @Michawn,

Okay, let's do this step by step:

  1. Go to your activities page.
  2. Go to the bottom of the page, where it says "Log Activities".
  3. Type "Driving", wait until it finds the activity.
  4. Select the activity, you should see change to "Driving +" when you hover your mouse over it.
  5. Enter the start time and the duration.

If you entered this correctly, then it'll cancel your steps during that time, like this:

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the detailed directions. I tried it, still doesn't work! I took the stupid FitBit off as it already had me at 20k for the day, I usually get another 6-10K at work (at a school) but nothing close to 20K!

@Michawn,

Curious.  When you look at your activities page, the graph should show you when you got those steps.  Nothing happens when you put a driving activity for that time?

Do you not get the N/A for steps and distance on your activities log?

Yes, I put in 12 am and even tried 12:01 am, to 5:15 am. It shows up just like you took a picture of, however it does nothing to my steps. I also looked at last nights (from 10:40 when husband brought the charged One to me, and tried adding "driving" to 10:40-11:55 pm, still nothing!

I finally got it to work! When I put in Driving, 3 "Driving" show up, so I tried the 3rd one. And it worked! But my FitBit won't reset! My computer and iphone track the "new" real steps, despite hard resetting several times! Oh well! Thanks for your help!
