Tracking calories and distance

I am hoping someone can help me.

My Fitbit One doesn't seem to be tracking distance and calories correctly.

Yesterday morning, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and the elliptical machine said I did 4.16 kilometers and burned 304 calories.

Then last night I did spinning for an hour and 10 minutes and according to my fitbit I did 6.35 kilometers and burned 396 calories.

This makes no sense, I did double the amount of exercise (time wise) and I only burned 92 more calories and went 2.24 kilometers more?

Can someone help please?

Thanks

Neither one of these exercises are step based so its not going to be accurate.

The one also does not have a Heart rate sensor in it for calorie burn

As @WendyB points out, you won't get an accurate record of distance unless you are doing a step-based exercise.  Further, the accelerometer in your One cannot tell the difference between your elliptical and spin activities, and will report inaccurate calories based on how much it is moving around.  To get better calorie information, you should manually enter non-step based exercises.
