Wearing my One on a clip vs wristband

Hi.  I've had my One for a couple years now and have always worn it on a clip attached to my bra strap.  My clip broke a few months ago and I ordered a new one, along with some wristband-type straps that I thought might be nice to change up once in a while.  There seems to be a discrepancy between what both my steps and active minutes are when I where it on a wristband versus the clip.  I get many more steps and active minutes in a day when I wear the wristband.  When I wore it on a clip, it hardly ever tracked active minutes even though I am pretty active at my job.  It only tracked active minutes if I was exercising or walking vigorously and continuosly.  Now, I have a very high amount of active minutes and when speaking with coworkers who are similarly active and have a different style of fitbit (not the One), they have similar numbers.  Now, I want to wear the wristband more often if it's going to track more active minutes but I wonder why the discrepancy- it shouldn't matter where I'm wearing it, right?  But, it clearly tracks more steps and active minutes when worn on my wrist.  So which is more accurate?  I haven't worn the wristband to go running yet because I wear a Garmin GPS watch for running, and I would wear my clipped One along with it, and have noticed that my mileage count was always consistently lower on the One than on the GPS watch (not by much but enough to be annoying).  So, I'm wondering if others have noticed this, too.  I just want the most accurate way to wear it!  Thanks!

Its inaccurate as it is not meant for the wrist.

I have always found the one much more accurate than the wrist models. Even though I still use the wrist models.

Ok, that's a bummer.  So, that begs the question, if most of my friends have other wrist type fitbit models (I have yet to meet a friend with a One), do they have an advantage over me in challenges then?  That seems crummy...

But, thanks for your response!

I compare them a lot and it really isnt that much of an advantage.

They come close most days
