Recently switched from the clip (in bra) to wrist band and fitbit is showing 2-3 times the activity level with band. Way, way over what it should be. Yesterday is showed 107 flights of stairs when it should have been 20-25. Same on steps. What is going on?

The simple answer is that the Fitbit One is calibrated to detect steps from your torso, not your wrist. Naturally, you can wear it wherever you want, but for the most accurate results, wear it the way it was designed to be worn. The Fitbit One does come with a wrist holder, but that's only intended to be used to track your sleep.
As for the inflated flights of stairs, keep in mind that the Fitbit detects flights of stairs through its altimeter which detects minute changes in atmospheric pressure. While it's generally pretty consistent, walking on a windy day may throw off your numbers. If you're really curious, you may also look at your activity from yesterday and see when you got your flights of stairs.
I hope this helps.

The Fitbit itself only gives you credit for the flights of stairs if you were moving at the time (so elevators and escalators typically won't register). However, if you were moving your wrists while you were riding the elevator that may explain it.
Again, look at your activity graph (select yesterday, and click on 'Floors') and you'll see when you got credit for all those floors. Does it coincide with the times you took the elevator?
I hope this helps.
