can't find or add friends

I can't seem to find or add any friends. I have an iPhone and have added emails to some contacts and still nothing....?

Hi I have just brought a versa basically I can’t find my family on contacts email or Facebook on this and they can’t find me so I must have done something wrong but I don’t know what hope someone can help it’s really annoying

Do you happen to know your family emails? If you have them please follow the instructions here to add them. 

Something else you can do is giving your email to your family so they can add you using the same steps on the link above.

Note that the email you should be using is the same email you used to set up your Fitbit account.

Did you checked my post above? I'd recommend trying those steps for you to be able to add your friends to the Fitbit dashboard.

I have a fitbit versa and Im going to the friends tab, bottom right choosing add friends typing in their email and then nothing. How can I add friends or does it hsve to be done on a computer. Thanks

On Android phone . Requests via email gets sent but I see waiting symbol for ever and other person never gets the request . Since I havent been able to add my family members as friends , I can't even create family account . Can only add ppl if I go to some ones friend list and send his friends a request.

By any chance, have you tried adding you friends via the online dashboard instead of the Fitbit app? Check how to do that here. I recommend using the email method. 

Try that out and let me know if it works properly there!

Question: Why you keep suggesting the e-mail method rather than letting us know how to add our contacts? Mine shows only contacts without fitbit

Do you know if the friends you are trying to add via "Contacts" have already granted the Fitbit app permission to access their contact list? They should show there. 

I prefer recommending the email option as it is easier for me. You can also add a friend by accessing their profiles. The other option is to add them via Facebook, you can also try that one.

@Karen.T Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting that you are also experiencing the same situation when looking for friends. 

By any chance do you and your friends/family that has Fitbit devices have linked your Fitbit accounts with your Facebook accounts? This could help you out on finding contacts. 

You can also add friends using their email addresses associated with their Fitbit accounts. I find this way easier. Check this article for more details on this.

If you are using an Android device make sure you have enabled permissions for the Fitbit app.

Welcome to the Community @Sophia87! Sorry for the delay on my reply. I'll be glad to help you adding friends from Facebook contacts. 

Thanks for enabling all permissions. If you're still not seeing Facebook or email contacts, the reason might be that your friends have a Fitbit device but they might be not using the same email address or have Fitbit linked to Facebook. 

Also, can you confirm that you followed the instructions on this article to connect both apps?
