My fitbit one was no longer syncing. I removed it from the fitbit app and laptop but now it will not reconnect to either.

Have you tried restarting the One by:

@jweiskel regarding "removed it from the Fitbit app and laptop but now it will not reconnect to either", have you added the tracker back? You can add it on either the laptop or phone and it will show on both. Since you removed it, you might have to simply add it back (as a new device). It should retain your steps. Good luck!

The problem I seer is that if a tracker is not syncing, removing the tracker from one's account will only add more problems since this step simply tells fitbit that we do not want to use this tracker.
We still have to fix the sync issue.
Once the tracker is removed from the account, I assume that is what was done, the tracker will not show up on the computer or app. Have you removed the tracker from the Bluetooth trusted device list, this is the correct way to remove a tracker from your phone or computer. Them I would restart both the computer and tracker.
The computer or phone should be restarted after removing the fitbit app.

I really wish people would stop removing a tracker that is not syncing from their fitbit account. Doing this will only add more problems.

@jweiskel as it's still not been determined if the tracker is having an issue or if it's with your application, do you have access to another device like a tablet or computer (using the dongle that came with your tracker) using the PC app or even a friend's phone without Fitbit to temporarily install and try adding? Doing this may help isolate the problem better and if you do successfully add it with another device, it should then be associated with your account, which would then come up then on your original app. 🤔

I still can’t connect. Unfortunately I don’t have another device to try. There is some echo type watch in my blue tooth searching that I can’t delete. I don’t remember adding it as I do not own one. Maybe that’s the issue? How do I delete it?

Hello @jweiskel if I read your post correctly while putting your phone's bluetooth in search mode you see an echo watch.
Only trusted devices can be removed.
This would be a watch within 50 or so feet while looking for a local bluetooth device.
However you will not be able to connect a fitbit through this screen, setup needs to be done through the fitbit app.
Disconnecting a fitbit from the phone's bluetooth does not require setting up a device, disconnecting from the fitbit app will require setting up
