text messages

It would be nice to get actual text messages when you're at 25, 50, or 75% of the daily goal, instead of just notifications.  Some people forget to check since you actually have to go into the app.

To make this work, I'm assuming you'd have to enter you're cell phone number with your account on Fitbit.com.  Seems like this could be done.  Is it possible?

yes'm, four steps for every current product except the Zip or One 😞

The good news is the Flex 2 is currently under $60 in the online store for a short time.

from a computer log into fitbit.com with your email/password

go to https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/notifications check "Step goal milestones"

-- so when you hit 75%, 100% or 125% of your daily goal a text will be sent under Mobile.

Now log in to your mobile fitbit App (the cell number you want the texts to come to) with your email/password

Go back to the main screen on your mobile (press the home button) and go to the mobiles settings and scroll wayyyy down to the fitbit icon , click notifications and make sure allow notifications is "on"

Force sync the App by touching and pulling down on the screen.

Notifications should start at the next milestone 🙂
