Hi. I have tried to restart my Charge 3 as your site advises but with no success. 001 still displayed and dots on logo alternately lighting up. I have also reinstalled the app. Cannot sync or move on from the error screen on the fitbit. Had some problems early last week when fitbit screen stuck on clock face and would not scroll in any direction but that resolved. Now stuck with error screen?

After the 001 message, the battery died and now will not charge. I can’t restart it. How do I get a new FitBit?

It’s only 3 months old, but it stopped syncing after 2...so probably. Sad.

FYI, it the bluetooth on the Charge 3 that's not working right. I'm now having trouble with my computer finding it. I keep having to unpair it and have the computer find it again, EVERYDAY. Sometimes it's "just there" and other times it's nowhere to be found. I am having to either soft or hard reboot it everyday. This thing is garbage. I am going to call in the next few days and have a repair ticket started on it. Either it gets fixed, or it gets returned.

I appreciate your help, but your generic FYIs are little help. They seem mostly designed to keep people looking until the warranty runs out, and then Fitbit doesn't have any problem. If there is some help in there for anyone, great for them. I don't have the time to fix what should have been working in the first place. That IS what the warranty is for.

Tried the reboot procedure and my Charge 3 is still frozen/unresponsive. What other steps can I take to get it functioning again?

Yes it is very sad that this particular device has acquired so much electronic ink.  I wonder if the problems with this unit are few and reported such that it appears large or there are major problems and not being brought forth.  As for mine (#3) it works well except I suspect it does not link with phone location tracking often.

Welcome on board @Susurrus19! Thanks for trying to restart your Charge 3 in order to fix the issue with the screen. 

 

While reading your post I was wondering if your device is still vibrating or syncing when you connect it to the charging cable? If so, please try changing the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display. Let me know if the steps work, I'll be around. 

 

Hello @Ping10000! If your Charge 3 is not syncing to your phone, I'd recommend taking a look at Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

 

Also, I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

 

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

FYI. The unit has not been syncing location movement either on walk or biking. Have begun to live with it. It tend to do that when I want it engrained in my head to never buy product from that company again as well as part of a conversation with others about purchase failure. This is watch #3. 1 and 2 lasted about 4 weeks total. I am taken back that Fitbit has not communicated with Charge 3 owners of the problems at hand. Deceit comes in many flavors. Ultimately, I will tire of sub quality and deal with it.

i seem to be getting this error EVERY WEEK at this stage. 

 

Any ideas on how it can be fixed long term rather than just restarting???

Hi MarreFitBit, changing the watch face / display does not appear to be an option at least for me, as my fitbit app on my Iphone cant connect to the Fitbit while it is displaying the 001 error message - do you have another solution?

I continue to have the same issue of the 001 error message and my fitbit will not sync while the error message appears which leaves me in a catch 22 problem of how to get this to work. 

 

This is my 4th fitbit device and the only one to give me so many headaches and annoyances, have you found a resolution to this error yet?

I have also been struggling with the 001 error screen. None of the fixes on here are working to resolve this issue.
