Welcome on board @wbial, thanks for stopping by and for already restarting your Charge 3.

 

As per your post it seems that your tracker is not only vibrating but syncing, so please try changing the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display. Let me know if the steps work, I'll be around. Woman Wink

I am getting the 001 code on the fitbit charge 3.  When I do the reset I just get the smiley face and nothing else.  and only when its on the charger.  when I take it off the charger goes blank and wont sync

I'd call CS. Perhaps a replacement is in order.  it took the third for me to be right.  I have been well satisfied since.

I am surprised that nowhere on the bare all internet is the problem with this product displayed.  One has to wonder why.  Perhaps these affected units come from a certain batch and the batch has to weed itself out.  however, I for one have not been amused at winning that lottery twice as i assume you may not either.

Same problem, they started trying to explain it to me the 1st time at an idiots level about. The computer engi,ers at which time i offered to let him speak to my son the guy in our house who is a computer enigineer. When the 2 time it broke they were getting rude after.a couple hours on the phone but they sent me a new one. This time it broke (1 month after receiving the 2nd one), i went through the beginning turn it off, turn it on do a cartwheel with it on etc, then after researching it he found this was a frequent problem with the Charge 3 and i would have to wait until the problem was fixed. WHAT, didi hear you say.
I asked for the supervisor and got a 50 percent off a better tracker. Not an easy company to work with, but hopefully ill have a user friendly product that works.

My 3rd is working 5 mo. I do not believe it is a software issue. It is a hardware issue. The first unit lasted about 2 weeks. The second slightly longer. As said this one is up to 5 mo. There must be a satisfued population. As for my CS interactions all have been pleasant. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

This didn't work for me, what should I do ? 

Initially my battery was completely drained out, after I connected it to the charger this screen shows up.

Call CS ASAP. There may be a new smarter watch in your future. I think you have a defect. I am not an expert but I slept in a old truck recently.

Just did the call, they are replacing it for me. Unfortunately, they couldn't fix it.

The third was the charm for me. Hopefully, the second will be for you. I do like my charge 3. It suits me well if it works as designed.

Oh man, I see. It worked perfectly for almost 6 months and one day it just died on me. It was so strange.

I ended up emailing Fitbit.  But there are videos on YouTube that gives u step by step instructions

I think the problem with most are hardware problems not software.  If it were software, Fitbit would update.  The online restore instructions wouold not have to be repeated again and again.

My charge 3 will not charge nor can I update.  I have tried to two different charge options and nothing happens.  The 001 code stays on along with the Fitbit logo.

Perhaps a CS call is in order. Has been a while since I have heard of a problem. Most likely yours is defective.
